I had hoped to have a video about cropping an image in MSWORD created in time for the latest CAS Challenge – Cropped Image – but unfortunately I wasn’t able to.
I have the house to myself today and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to dig in and create it for you. I hope you find it helpful and will have a chance to join us for the challenge.
I coloured Melody Digi Stamp using copic markers and then decided I wanted to add a funky background. So I placed some paper over the top and lightly traced around the edge using a pencil and cut out the shape. I tape the card down to the surface and then taped the paper mask into place.
I then placed the honeycomb mask on top and tape into place so it wouldn’t move. Using a sponge tool and some Peacock Distress Ink, I lightly sponge over the mask and around Melody.
The sentiment is part of a new set of grunge chipboard that I am currently designing. I coated it with White Distress Paint making sure to get the paint on the inside edges as well. I coated it three times, drying each layer with a heat tool before applying the next coat. Finally I covered it with some star dust stickles for a bit of shine before gluing it down on the card.
Finally I added the ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment from the ‘Happy Days Tab Sentiments Rubber Stamp‘ which I lined up with my Stampamajig to get it straight.
I hope you will be able to join us this month!
