Mixed-media cover for notebook (tutorial)
Hi all!

Daria is here.

I love to create mixed-media projects. And today I would like to show you step-by-step tutorial how you can create a great cover to your notebook or album using chipboard and some interesting things.

1. Glue scrapbooking paper onto thick chipboard. Then create a pattern on the paper using stencils and distress inks. PCov001 2. Glue decorative tape, laces, grid, resist canvas onto your collage. I used Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive. It will become transparent when dry.

 3. Paint your Gears Galore chipboard using acrylic paint. I used pink paint. Then use stamps onto chipboard. PCov003

4. Glue gears onto your collage.

5. Take metal parts from real not working clock. Paint them using acrylic paints.PCov005 6. Glue these metallic details onto collage. Use sprays after glue will dry. I used Red Pepper ColorWash and Vintage Pink Tattered Angels sprays. PCov006

7. Glue different interesting elements such as flowers, buttons, badges, charms, small chipboard elements  and etc. PCov007

8. Use spray to make your collage organic whole. I used Red Pepper and Purple Twilight Color Wash, Pewter Perfect Pearls Mist. Take acrylic paints and smeared finger some of your elements. At the end ink the edges of your collage using distress inks. Cover is ready. Cov002_small
