Glistening Scales

Hello everybody!

Here i am today for sharing with all of you a little tutorial i have made about glistening scales.

I have to say that i have a weakness for mermaid and i’ve chosen Lola for my post because I think she’s one of the most lovely and elegant I’ve never seen!

To colour her tail, I’ve chosen one of my favourites colour combo: BG000-BG01-BG05-BG09-100.

I started with the lightest colour as always i do,

BG000

now i proceed to darken the bottom of her tail:

BG01

blend a little with BG000:

BG05

blend with BG01 and BG000 again:

BG09

blend with BG01:

finally, if you like, you can add some little touches of black (100) to give more contrast:

and now i finished with Copic colouring and I go on using some other funny products :)

(Sorry, pics are not so good but i’ve had to put my job under the sunlight to show the effect)

first of all i added a pair of coat of shimmerz paint:

and then some stickles Crystal (they are good for the colours I’ve used beause they are greenish, however you can use Stickles Star Dust that are more neutral)

and finally some Cracklé Accents that give the right effect of scales, I think:

(Lola is on her place into my card here :)

and this is my final creation:

I hope to have inspired you a bit, let’s try if you like, practice glistening scales is really amusing!
