Hello everybody and Happy New Year!
Here i’m again for my first MIC post of the year and this is my take on our theme for these two days: red colouring.
I chose this lovely image called “Miss Hood” to try to colouring up her mantle with my red tones-Copics; she’s the first Mic image i thought when i read the new theme to face!
I didn’t love reds before finding this colour combo that i love so much: RR9-R27-R17-R20-R000, but even if i foud my ideal red combo (for the moment at least!) i think colouring red is not so simple! Reds are hard colors in my opinion, even worst than blacks! I’ve just a little tips to give about them: colouring red parts of your images at the last to not risk blending out reds and dirty in other areas.
To colour some of the lightest parts this time, i’ve tried a little different method from the past: i coloured them with my R17 and then i blended out some colour with my R000, i love the result!
Just below you can see the list of copics i’ve used

Goodbye, Franz.

Gorgeous creation Franz! Thanks for all of the color tips too … will definitely have to try it. Yes, red is sometimes difficult to color but have found using MiC blending card they work great!
Beautiful!!!!!!!
Gorgeous colouring Franz and I love the winter scene. I’m going mad trying to find my MIC winter stamp set, my room is tidy so they aren’t lost under a pile. They will probably turn up in the summer.
