Grooving Jasmine

Hello everyone! It’s Delphine here today to share a mix media card with you! I chose to use the beautiful Grooving Jasmine for today’s make, printed her on Canson Montval watercolour paper and coloured her in Copics.

Skin: E000, 00, 11, 13
Hair: 100, BV04, C7, 9
Purple: V09, 15, 17
Pink:RV02, 04, T3
Gold: Y11, 26
Blue: B95, 97, 99 (for the trousers, hidden by my watermark)

I then made a watercolour background using purple and pink Zig wtc pens using colours matching my Copic colours.

I then went back to work on my character using Polychromo pencils to add a bit of depth, so I mostly added black to the purple clothes and hair, and purple to her skin. I also added white highlights in her hair with Copic Opaque White and doodled a few notes in gel pen.

And lastly, to make my image pop, I used a Delicate Love Square Chipboard Frame, coloured in Posca pens and covered in stickles. I also added white dots to the background and changed the colour of my notes.

So it worked OK using copics on watercolor paper? Any issues with that?

@Deborah – Yes, it worked. But depending on the paper, it may bleed, or the colours won’t blend well, or the colours may be a bit darker – so it’s necessary to try. But it worked fine with this paper 🙂

Merci beaucoup :)!
      Bises,
      Delphine
