Fairy Dahlia

Hi everyone! It’s Alyce here today and I want to share with you a card I made using one of my fave Make it Crafty images…Fairy Dahlia. Isn’t she just stunning? All of my favourite things in one…fairies, pretty long hair, even some fun shadowing in her outfit! πŸ™‚ She was a tonne of fun to colour…even if I did forget to put in the branch that she was meant to be sitting on! LOL! It was MEANT to be a chipboard branch…but I was watching Iron Man and got too distracted… :/ hehe!

For her wings, I used the same technique you would use when colouring folds in a dress. This helpsΒ to give a more 3D appearance. For my next store post I am hoping to have a pleats/folds tutorial for you all too πŸ™‚

I coloured up Fairy Dahlia using my copics. Here are the colours that I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R11
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Dress: R81, R85, R59
Wings: BG72, B97, B99

Just a quick little note too….When I list my copic markers…the order that I do this in indicates the order that I use them to colour too. For example, with skin, I start with the E000, work up to the E11, and then go back down again. Hope this helps at all! πŸ™‚
