Hello everyone! It’s Delphine here today to share two mermaid cards featuring my Make it Crafty Chipboard frames which I love so much! They are elegant and really versatile since you can colour them any way you like, using Copics that you can blend very well on the chipboard, using acrylic paint or watercolour markers… whatever the medium, you are sure to get a beautiful result!
Here is one example, using Tiddly Inks Amy and her Mini Mermaid Friends (available as digi or clear stamp set):
I coloured the background of my image using Distress Inks and water and coloured my images in Copics on Make it Colour Blending Card. The frame featured on this card is called Hibiscus Flower Frame and I coloured it using Posca markers and added Stardust Stickles for a bit of sparkle. Here is a close up and the Copics I used:
Skin: E000, 00, 04, 11
Hair: E34, Y11, YR21, 24
Purple: V09, 15, 17
Fish: R02, 05, 08, T1, 3
My second card features a mermaid by Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps called Serena Sparkles.
The chipboard frame I used for this one is the Ornate Rectangle Frame. I coloured it in Copics and Poscas and again added a lot of sparkle with Stardust Stickles. Here is a close up and the list of Copics used for the image:
Skin: E000, 00, 04, 11, R20
Hair: E25, 31, 33, 59
Mermaid’s Body: B02, 04, 16, 37, 39, T7, V000, 01, 15, 17
Sand: E50, 51, 53
Ocean: BG11, 45, 53, 57 – B37, BG75, 78 for seaweeds

I hope you will put your chipboard frames into action too! Thank you very much for your visit, have a great day! Hugs,
