I am excited to be welcoming the new CAS design team today who will be sharing nice and clean ideas that you can use your favourite MiC stamps and chipboard.
This will become a valuable resource for you, especially if you are like me and don’t quite have the knack creating cards with layers and layers of papers and embellishments.
As you can imagine, I had a terribly tough time selecting just three ladies to join the team from the amazing submissions. I feel so honoured to have had so many of you wanting to be a MiC Gal!
Without further ado, I would like to introduce you to the new Clean & Simple Design Team.

Hello! I’m French and mum to 2 boys aged 7 and 14. In the daytime, I teach English to teenagers… and at night, I COLOUR! Colouring is a true addiction and helps me relax 🙂 I love colouring images and especially staging my characters, making scenes for them so that my cards always focus on them and are very CAS. I think my only concern is to “fill” my white piece of paper (but not too much!!) with colour. I don’t often use DPs and feel extremely awkward with embellishments.
To add colour, I often use Copics which are my very first love and which I started using about 5 years ago, but I also love my pencils, watercolours and acrylics more recently. And I really like when I can mix a bit of everything!
I am very excited to be a part of the CAS Challenge team and hope you’ll come and have fun with us!
“Hi, my name is Anja and I’m originally from Germany but now live in Switzerland. I’m 34 years old, married and a proud mom of a handsome boy and a sweet little girl.
I’m so excited to join this new Make it Crafty CAS DT! I fell in love with stamping in 2008 and created mostly cards with cute characters on. I quickly discovered another passion: coloring with Copics. But for more than a year now, I really enjoy creating more CAS cards incorporating techniques like die-cutting, heat-embossing or stenciling. I also have fun using other mediums for my coloring (Watercolors, Prismacolor Pencils or Distress Markers).
Thank you Zoe for the opportunity to be part of this team!”
Hey Peeps 🙂
I’m Faye, and I’m addicted to Copics (and choklit). Wife, Mum, Obsessive Colourist, and E-mail/ Facebook/ Blog Stalker. How do I fit all that into a day? Simples. I run on Fairy Dust. Yep, sense of humour features in there too! When I’m not doing any, or all of the above, (and sometimes when I am doing them) you’ll more than likely find me day dreaming…
My style is very clean and simple. Which is a bit of a relief, considering the nature of this Team! But why clean and simple? I like to give the image space to be the image. My eye for colour, patterns and design is not good. I can spend hours moving papers, sentiments and embellishments around, before getting irritated (ok, you can add that to my list of traits.) and giving up. So, minimal works best for me. You’ll find I doodle a lot too. In fact, people often recognise me for it.
So, to recap. Faye. Obsessive choklit munching doodler. Impatient daydreamer with wacky sense of humour. Belongs to Very Understanding Hubby and Child. Often spotted lurking near biscuit barrel, Copic in one hand, some form of electronic gadget in the other.
My name is Francine! I live in Switzerland in the wonderful Three Lakes Region with my sweetheart and our three cats. I’m bilingual in German and French from birth. I discovered scrapbooking and cardmaking in 2009 by leafing through a book and it was love at first sight! I like playing with different styles and techniques. It depends on my mood and inspiration. But I always love coloring, rainbow and bright colors, making splatters, using stencils and blending tools, paint brushes and watercolors. When I’m not crafting, I spend my spare time cooking, playing bowling and party/board games with friends, taking walks along the lake or making one day boat trips with our little boat during Summer. I couldn’t live far from a lake and without my cats! Cuddling with them makes me happy!
Hi, everybody! My name is Suzanne Bier. I live in the USA in the state of Virginia with my dear husband and our sweet (and spoiled) dachshund. I’ve been stamping and coloring with Copics for more than five years, but I’ve loved crafting for as long as I can remember. I often create in the clean and simple (CAS) style because it focuses the design on the main image, not the paper or embellishments. I’m thrilled to be a part of Make It Crafty’s new CAS team, and I can’t wait to share lots of inspiration with you! You can find more of my cards and projects at my blog. I’d love it if you stopped by to say hello!
Hello everyone! I’m Teresa Pham and I am from Toronto, Canada. I started paper crafting in 2013 and fell in love with it since! I love to experiment with different techniques and styles but my favorite are CAS cards. I love this style because it helps me learn the art of balance and control. I like to keep things minimal although depending on my mood, I like to jazz it up a little! (This is when it gets crazy) When I’m not crafting or working, I also enjoy photography, aquariums, dancing, and lattes! I am honored and thrilled to be a part of the MiC CAS Team and I hope to bring more inspiration to you as much as I have been inspired by the crafting community.
Each of these ladies has a slightly different style and unique ideas to bring you. I am thrilled to have them join my new team.
Our very first CAS challenge will go live in a couple of days on the 3rd of the month, and we would love you to pop back, get inspired and join the fun.
