Hey all! Tabbatha here again with a little Wednesday Inspiration. I’m continuing my obsession with galaxy backgrounds with this one. In my defense the Scribble Circle Stars Frame just bets to be put against a dark and starry sky! I coupled it with the handsome Batty Baxter Digi Stamp.
Using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, I created a very dark and lovely background. Some white paint splatters create the illusion of stars. For a great video on how to do your own with watercolors check out the January 2016 post from Kelly – Watercolor Starry Sky.
By using a silvery metallic paint on the Scribble Circle Stars Frame I was able to create a nice focal point. This also broke up the galaxy enough that Batty Baxter could be placed in such a way that he looks like he is floating down from the dark sky above.
The chipboard “Believe” was just the perfect compliment to the whole card.
Copic Markers used:
Skin: E000, E21, E11, R20Hair: B05, B28, B97
Blacks: C5, C7, C9
White shirt: C0, C1, C3
Purples: V04, V06, V09
Chipboard “Believe”: V06, V09, B28, B99
I used a purple polychromo over the purple in order to soften the look so the inside of the cape looked like velvet. That is the brilliance of using pencils over copics – you can achieve different affects for a minimal of effort and time!
Oh, before I go. Did you see that there are new images in the store?!? The collection is called Winter Celebrations – how awesome! I’ve got them printed out already and sitting there ready to be colored up for next week, so I’ll see you then.
